2nd gen Nissan Frontier and Xterra owners with the C200K rear differential, rejoice! You're no longer condemned to living an open-diff life!! The ADO BBL line of limited slip diffrentials is here!!!
2005-2019 Nissan Frontiers and 2005-2015 Nissan Xterras came from the factory with two different rear axles - the C200K and the M226. The C200K has an 8-bolt rear cover, the M226 has a 12 bolt rear cover. The C200K is commonly found in non-Pro4x / non-Offroad trims and has historically suffered from poor aftermarket support when it comes to traction devices. It is known for having weak spider gears in it's open differential which can fail with heavy wheeling. Aside from this, while having a smaller ring and pinion than it's big brother M226 - it's a stout and capable rear axle. It also fits vehicles equipped with the R200 independent rear differential, such as the R51 Pathfinder (V6 models only)!
This is a torsen-style limited slip traction device that replaces your C200K open differential and works using internal helical and bevel gears to distribute power to both wheels when slip is detected while still allowing differential action when turning corners. It is a fully mechanical device with no internal clutch packs that wear out and no special gear oil additive is required. It is silent in operation and does not ratchet when turning corners like a lunchbox-locker style device. It also requires no wiring or air lines, like elockers and air lockers.
